FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Moxii Africa (formerly Media Monitoring Africa – MMA) and its partners, under the Web Rangers Programme are excited to      launch     its Anti-Bullying Awareness Month Campaign. From the 11 November 2025 to 27 November 2025, we are   calling on all South Africans      (educators, parents, guardians, and community leaders)     to take collective action against the growing epidemic of bullying, cyberbullying, and online violence affecting children across the country.

The spate of recent reports have shown that incidents of online bullying and digital gender-based violence are rising at an alarming rate, often with devastating consequences for children. In response, Web Rangers is dedicating the month of November 2025 to raising awareness, sharing resources, and promoting safe and responsible online behaviour among children and families. Moxii Africa’s  Public Skills and Media Skills Programme Manager – Phakamile Madonsela says “This campaign is more than awareness — it’s a national call to action. Every adult, whether a parent, teacher, or community leader, has a duty to make digital spaces safe for children. Protecting them from online harm starts with us.”

Through weekly online content, and parent-focused resources, the campaign encourages families to engage, learn, and spread positive digital practices. Parents and caregivers who interact with Web Rangers’ content stand a chance to win one of ten R500 Takealot vouchers, as a fun incentive to stay connected and informed.
