Media Monitoring Africa (MMA) welcomes this opportunity to provide information to the Competition Commission of South Africa (Commission) in respect of its assessment of the impact of the recommendations of the Data Services Market Inquiry (DSMI) on the cost of data and access to data. This submission addresses the questions contained in theCommission’s letter of 10 June 2021, and provides MMA’s views on the effectiveness of the DSMI and the agreements that were entered into with the mobile network operators (MNOs).
