MMA was recently one of five applicants in a case before the High Court requesting an order to protect the identity of a young person involved in a kidnapping case. The girl turns 18 today and the court order ensures that, despite becoming an adult legally during the case, that her identity will continue to be protected.
The kidnapping happened to her as an infant and this ruling ensures that she will not be subjected to further trauma or placed in danger due to being identified in the media.
