Johannesburg: Media Monitoring Africa launches Advanced Media Literacy Programme (AMPL) to Empower  Learners. The programme is funded by Impact Amplifier.

The Programme is an initiative designed to empower Grade 7 learners to become critical consumers of media. The program will commence this Month (February), with the first training workshop scheduled for February/March 2025.

The AMLP aims to achieve this by providing training on children’s rights, media monitoring, and identifying mis/disinformation. Through this program, learners will not only develop critical thinking skills but also engage with media practitioners to enhance the media’s portrayal and representation of children in society.
