On 26 May 2016, Media Monitoring Africa (MMA) and SOS: Support Public Broadcasting Coalition (SOS) put forward a formal written submission on the Film and Publication Amendment Bill, as invited by parliament. As its name implies, the bill aims to amend certain sections of the Film and Publications Act. Importantly for us, it looks to broaden the scope of the Act to include the regulation of digital content.
