Zuma slams press in letter

Writing on his party’s website, Zuma challenged the bona fides of the country’s journalists and defended plans for a statutory media appeals tribunal.
Mondli Makhanya, chairman of the South African National Editors Forum (Sanef) and Avusa editor-in-chief, said yesterday that Zuma’s letter was a serious setback in the search for a common understanding between government and media.

even if Zuma claims to be in support of media freedom in South Africa, it does not make sense as he as an individual and the rest of the party are always in scandals, it is understandable why he supposedly supports media freedom, he is putting up a act so that he is seen as the bigger better man in the party and maybe he wants to be on the good side of the press, but he forgets that the press will continue to expose his indecent acts,so he is obviously falling into his own trap…
