Media freedom under threat

Journalists and editors met with the South African National Editors Forum on Wednesday to discuss current threats to media freedom in the country. On the agenda was the Protection of Information Bill which is currently before Parliament and the proposed media appeals tribunal, which according to SA Press Council chairman, Raymond Louw, is a clear violation of the Constitution.
