Political will and violence
We have entered the 16 Days of Activism campaign of no violence against women and children. Yes it is limited only to the 16 days and yes there are certain difficulties with this. But we also need to acknowledge this for media especially; we need a campaign to ensure that these issues are the major media focus for at least a few weeks of the year.

Enough is enough. When are we going to get a seperate Sport/Learning channel? Now for days the usual programs on SABC channel 3 have been disrupted by cricket, ball by ball commentary, adnausium! I have got to the stage where I hate cricket.

As child care specialitst (teacher for 18 yrs) I find any abuse or form of abuse against children highly offensive, and think that the SABC’s inniative is nothing more than a PR stunt. When is the real help for our children arriving?
